Polymer Frame Picture Thread! Empty Crimson Trace Laser

Post  Citation Wed Apr 07, 2010 11:14 am

As you know Lasers are controversial when it comes to guns.

They say that you depend on them and do not use your iron sights. I have a Glock 22 with open Sights to train with and to shoot GSSF matches with. I am pretty sure that I know how to use iron sights since I was to broke to afford lasers when I first started shooting. The Army helped the training process as well.

Here is my take. Just my opinion

* I can shoot 14 rounds on target FAST!!
* I do not have to have my head behind the gun in order to acquire my target. This means that if I am behind cover my head
does not have to stick out as far.
* The red dot on someone’s chest is an Intimidating thing (I know it would be for me)
* The fact that I can see where my round is going
* I can shoot from any position, i.e., on my back, laying down or bent over shooting behind me
* No special holster needed
* Made for a wide variety of guns
* Glock Laser helps the fit in your hand

There are so many more great things about this laser. I love the Crimson Trace because it is automaticaly activated with a proper firing grip. There are other lasers that you have to activate yourself. Who has time for that and the fine motor skills to do it in a high stress situation?

Drawbacks?
Battery Operated (Last a Long Time though)
Should know how to use iron sights (Just in Case)
Very accurate at distance that you sight it in at. Further than that rounds will vary
Have to change your grips
Adds a Little bulk to the Glock

I strongly recommend this product for some one that knows how to shoot. It is also a great teaching tool to see what the shooter is doing wrong. The CTC wed site shows them for 300+ dollars but that is not the case.

I bought mine at Lone Wolf Dist for 192.00 and that was with shipping and handling. http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Default.aspx

People may say that these are for people that cannot shoot or that you do not need them but push come to shove I can shoot, I can see where my rounds are going, and in a situation it will give me 1 up on the bad guy. It is My Life and I Cherish it!!

There are some very informative videos that I found that helped me make up my mind about getting my CTC.

I will post some more pictures of my Glock 23 with the CTC on it at a later time.

Do I like my Crimson Trace? You bet I do, They are Helpful and very Fun!!!
Recommend Them? In a Heart Beat That’s what I bought my girl for Christmas Crimson Trace for a Walther PPK/S Stainless
